Wildlife photographer Tim Laman is the only person to have photographed all 39 birds of paradise. Although most are in New Guinea, three are found in Queensland. Come on a journey with Tim and Cornell University ornithologist Edwin Scholes as they observe these birds in forests from Brisbane to the Atherton Tableland and the Cape York peninsula.
PLUS: Hunting for the Tasmanian tiger, Federation Peak climbing adventure, Australia's pearling industry and – on the cover – exploring far north Queensland's Tully River.
