Free Kimberley Cruising talks with Mike Cusack

  • February 14, 2017

Hear first-hand the stories of Australian Geographic's original 'Wilderness Couple'.

AURORA EXPEDITIONS IS inviting travellers to a series of free Kimberley Cruising talks hosted by the company's Kimberley Expedition Leader, adventurer Mike Cusack, one half of Australia Geographic's famed 'Wilderness Couple'.

This year marks 30 years since Mike and his wife Susan set up camp in the Kimberley, experiencing 12 months of challenges and triumphs during their momentous 'Year in the Wilderness' – an ambitious project sponsored by Australian adventurer Dick Smith.

Attendees will have the opportunity to hear about Mike and Susan's inspiring story, how they set up camp at Kunmunya's abandoned Presbyterian mission and the challenges and triumphs they faced during their year in the Kimberley outback.

Mike will also talk through a typical day on a Kimberley cruise and the experiences and places you could discover on one of Aurora Expeditions' small ship voyages. There will also be plenty of opportunities to ask questions and speak with Mike throughout the evening.
